Explore Our Waters

Accompany Guide Matt Spaid on thrilling journeys along the rivers and streams of Virginia. Explore fishing the Shenandoah river main stem, North Fork and South fork for smallmouth bass, musky, walleye, carp and panfish. Access exclusive trout fishing on Cedar creek and many more for trophy rainbows, browns and brook trout. We are stewards of these beautiful waters, and strive to create the healthiest possible environment for the fish, so we practice only catch-and-release fishing.

About Matt

Matt has been an avid outdoorsman his entire life growing up in the Shenandoah Valley. Fishing the backcountry streams, rivers and lakes, his love for the outdoors has taken him to various destinations around the world. The fly-fishing adventure started at age 16, being self-motivated to explore new ways to catch trout and other species of fish. Matt worked at Katmai Lodge in Alaska, fishing for all 5 species of Pacific salmon, Dolly Varden, Trout and pike along the Alagnak river. Leaving Alaska was the last thing on his mind and life would have a different road for 25 years. Raising his two sons has been one of the greatest adventures this far. The traditions have been instilled, generation to generation we will fish and hunt. The outdoors is what makes me whole and i wish to pass that on to whomever will take the time to indulge.
